You know Minho would of done it. Imagine what Newt would have felt, knowing that Minho had died for him, and not wanting his death to be for nothing, but still wanting so much to die. What would he do knowing another one of his best friends died for him (Alby the first).Things like this always remind me of how they are all like brothers. They were the only people they had for 2 years. There was no time for romance, they were trying to survive. They were best friends, and I think we forget too much about how it used to be Alby, Newt, and Minho. We forget how distraught Newt was when Minho and Alby weren't coming back from the maze, and he could do nothing about it. What would it look like if second in command broke the number rule? And what if something happened to Newt, who would be in charge then? We all think about Newt Minho and Thomas being the trio, and all the ships about Newt Minho and Thomas.Just think about how much it must have hurt Minho and Newt when Ably didn't fully recover from the changing. how scared they must have felt when Alby was chocking himself, and how hopeless it must have been for them when Alby killed himself. How they had to keep pressing on. How the one person taken a night thing didn't work and Alby might have died for nothing. I think we just all get caught up in ships too much. Newt and Minho weren't a couple, they were best friends. And Thomas didn't replace Alby, it was going to be the four of them, best friends.And I'm not saying it's wrong to ship them, one of the things I love most about this fandom is everyone is shipped with everyone and no one cares. This is just my opinion. Sometimes I do feel like shipping them, but I think it's good to remember the first trio. I hope we see more of it in the Fever code. |
