Maze Runner, The Fever Code

Sorry I didn't realize that this never posted, so here you go from a few weeks ago.

Ahhhhh I'm freaking out right now!!!! So as you all hopefully know by now there is a new Maze Runner book called the Fever Code coming out Tuesday September 27 THIS YEAR! If you didn't know, the Fever Code takes place between the Kill Order and the Maze Runner, and will be told in Thomas's point of view. If you didn't like the Kill Order because it doesn't follow Thomas and the gladers, don't give up on this one. Give it a chance, all the characters we know and love will be there and we'll get to uncover all the misteries of WICKED. So anyways, today James Dashner released the prologue which is written in Newt's point of view!!! I am going to read this over and over again unti I have every single word memorized. I won't say anything about the quality of it and the writing because let's be honest, it's James Dashner he's so brilliant and such a great writer anything he puts out you know if going to be the best of the best. If you haven't read it already here's a link

Now if you're like me and you read it as soon as you could, -or if you didn't, I don't judge- lets fangirl! (Stop reading here if you don't want spoilers)

This was so beautiful! And so cute! Lizzy and Newt oh my gosh!!! There is not a single person on this earth other than James Dashner who can convince me that Lizzy is not Sonya. And he's already killed two people, good job James good job. EVIL WICKED WHY YOU HAVE TO KILL NEWT'S PARENTS AND THEN YOU DISRESPECT HIM LIKE THAT! So, Lizzy (aka Sonya) is immune is she? ;) well I will stop rambling now, but please if you want to fangirl with me over this, or anything else, leave a comment or email me at fangirlandco@gmail.com

Maze Runner Binge Read

Hello hello! Sorry this is so late, but I thought I had better post something about the binge reading of the maze runner! In case you didn't know, starting today, May 27, the fandom is reading the first book. Next month on the 27 we will read the scorch trials. And so one, one book a month until September 27 when the fever code comes out! I hope you all will join us in re reading or maybe reading the maze runner for the first time in this epic count down. It's only one book a month so their will be plenty of time to read other books over the summer too. Unfortunately, I'm not able to start today because I'm in the middle of a book called Cure, which in the second book in a series called Stung by Bethany Wiggins. It's actually very similar to the scorch trials! Not to worry though, I have one week left of school until finals and then I'll have all the time in the world to read. So tell your friends, introduce people to the books! And don't forget, be carful, don't die.

Maze Runner the Scorch Trials Review General Spoilers

So last night, I went to see The Scorch Trials with my friends!!! I thought, even though it was vary different from the books, that it was fantastic! The best movie I've seen in a while. I now can understand why in some interviews Wes Ball has said the books and the movies are two different things. I compleatly understand that now, and I agree. The first movie was way more like the book then the second movie, and I think that's what made them more comparable.

I would like to share one thing though.

I just realized this today. So in the movies its about the action and then the character feelings as a separate little thing. But the books aren't about the action, but about how the characters react and bond over what's happening in the action. I just realized that that's the thing I think the movie missed, because it's not about the action and how many cranks can you fight off at once, but how after they fight them off, how the characters connect and become closer because of what they've been through. I think the movie touched on it, but the action was the main part of it. The first movie did more character stuff then this one, I think so that they could get you attached to the characters and then put them into the action and basically abandon character development. It is in the second movie, but not as much so as I would have liked. I mean, it is a movie you can't see Thomas's thoughts like you could with the books and how he was always thinking of his friends, but I think we loss a lot of that in the movies. They did have character development with Teresa, and the betraying. And we see how they care for eachother, but I just feel like they lost a lot of what made these books my favorite.

The books and the movies are separate things, the books are the emotion, and the movies are the action. You cant really compare them to eachother. There are many things I wish they would have had in the movie, but it was still so fantastic, brilliant, great, amazing, awesome... Everything.

If you haven't seen the movie yet, I so highly recommend it! Everyone involved did such a good job with it.

What are your thoughts on my response? As of now with is the only review-type post I'm going to make. If you would like me to make another, don't be afraid to comment! If you want to talk/fangirl about the books or movies you can email me at fangirlandco.com

Greeniescreening! No Spoilers

Last night was the greeniescreening! if you on't know what that is, it was a time to watch The Maze Runner with a friend (your greenie) and live tweet with the cast! I'm just so excited about what happened I decided I needed to share it with you. As I'm sure any fan does, I had some questions on about the movie related to the book. Naturally, I tweeted them; not knowing I would get a response! This is the first response I got, we are talking about the maze.

This is the question I've been wondering about for a long time. I was so excited and angshus about getting an answer I tweeted it probably every 5 minutes, half of the tie tagging Wes Ball. Finally at the end of the movie, I tweeted it one last time, and I actually got a response! This is what he said.

Of course then I asked him about the person who was stung, but I didn't get a reply. I just had to say how happy and excited I was when Wes tweeted me. It made me feel like more than just another fan. I'm sorry Wes if my repeated tweeting was annoying, but I just couldn't leave the greeniescreening without knowing I hadn't tried my best at getting an answer.

Did you attend the greeniescreening? Tell me in the comments what your favorite part of it was, and if you got any of your questions answered!
