Maze Runner Fanfiction- "The Second chance part 3" No Spoilers

Alright here's part 3 as promised! I haven't started writing part 4 yet so it will be a little while before I post it. I did add a sister for Newt. And yes, it's Sonya, deal with it. So I put her into the other two parts, she's not in this one. There's not any major changes so you don't have to read it again or anything.
P.S. this pic is not mine I just found it and it's awesome!

The second chance part 3

The next morning when Newt got up, he ran to his bedroom window and threw it open. He carefully slid from his window to Thomas’s, opened it, and ducked inside. Something he hadn't done in a long time.

“Hey Thomas?” Newt called into the empty bedroom.

“In here,” a muffled voice came from the bathroom, before its source appeared in the doorway. Newt’s face lit up at the sight of his friend.

“So, what should we do today?” He lightly skipped over to Thomas’s side and put a hand on his shoulder. He smiled when Thomas blushed.

“I don't know Newt. Where do we start?”

“What if, we start with this?” Newt kissed Thomas. His arms found their way around Thomas’s neck and they stood in each other's embrace. Thomas leaned back, breaking the kiss when a knock came from the door.

“Hey boys, you in there?” Thomas’s mom asked from the other side, as the doorknob started turning.

“Um, yeah. Come in,” Newt jumped a respectable distance away from Thomas as the door squeaked open.

“Hi boys!” She smiled, completely oblivious to their activities. “I've got breakfast downstairs if you want some!” She smiled again and turned to go. The boy’s mothers had long ago gotten used to window transportation, and practically expected Both boys for each meal.

“Thanks mom,” Thomas closed the door after her and turned back to Newt. “That was close.”

Newt smiled and realized he was actually starving. The boys went down stairs to see a table covered in food. There were the classics of eggs, bacon, and sausage, but also a few donuts and sugary bread. They sat down with Thomas’s parents and dug in, barely saying a word.

After enjoying the big breakfast, they raced back up to Thomas’s room and locked the door.

“Well, we won't get our school assignments until Monday. So we have one free weekend until we’re buried in homework,” Newt sighed.

“Hey, wanna watch a movie?” Thomas suggested.

“Sure!” Newt plopped on the bed as Thomas got out his laptop and opened the Netflix homepage. Skimming through the choices, They selected a random comedy movie. Thomas put his arm around Newt and pressed play.
